Sports Manga

Lately I have been trying to read a couple of sports manga, both shonen and shoujo (I only know two)! I don't really know why. Maybe cuz I was bored waiting for the manga I usually read to be updated, so I decided to read some sports manga that I've been interested in.

I started with Eyeshield 21 since I dropped the anime and didn't get into it anymore. and omg, I LOVE EYESHIELD 21!!! I didn't think I would be so addicted to the manga but whenever I had free time, I would read it.
I LOVE HIRUMA AND MONTA!!! Hiruma rocks, both in the anime and manga. Monta, who I didn't care for in the anime, became the number one reason why I keep reading it. He was just amazing, I always looked forward to his catching battles with his opponents. Reading chapters 196 and 226 was a trill for me <3 Besides them, I liked all the characeters, they were all funny and interesting. Overall, this was a fun read. Made me enjoy football for once xD

Full Contact is a manga about karate. It's not completed but comes out regulary. I like it cuz the artwork is cute and there's lots of humor. But my main problem with it is that there's not much of decent plot. Just random chapters here and there. One chapter is funny but then the next it gets serious. Not much foreshadowing. And whatever the promblem is, it usually ends up getting solved at the end of the chapter. I'll still read it but hope for a change in plot soon.

I'm still trying to read Hajime no Ippo.
I've seen Hajime no Ippo but never finished it. I liked it but moved on to other stuff. Learning about boxing is interesting. I never new they had to go through so much, like the diet thing. I'll try keep reading it cuz I heard the manga is funnier than the anime.

And now for shoujo.

Crimson Hero which is about volleyball, isn't completed but has 50 chapters out now. I've been reading this ever since I bought my first issue of Shojo beat. The artwork wasn't that great to me but it got better later in the chapters. I would have really liked this manga if it didn't have the stupid love triangle. It's so annoying!! Why couldn't the author just leave out the love triangle?? It just gives Nobara even more problems -____-

I finally found a shoujo sports manga that didn't include a love triange, Badminton Girl. It was about a girl finding her talent in badmiton after always watching her friend play. Just when I thought it was gonna be good, turns out chapter 6 was the final chapter. What a rip! I was so upset!

Just once I wanna read a shoujo sports manga that's long and that doesn't include much romance....>___<
There's Bamboo Blades, but that's seinen -.-  *sighs* Oh well, there's still more sports manga for me to read.
