YAY

Lots of lovely bromance.

Oh, and maybe there was some dark stuff too.

Wow, I thought this would get me knifed or sumting. Glad you can also appreciate the ... absurdity?

The bromance was good. I loved that Cook was there for Freddie at the end.
I'm still in denial about Effy though :( . I think it was a logical enough development for her character but I love her and I hate to see her that broken D:

Cook is all that's holding this series together for me, frankly. Everything he does is in character, but always unexpected enough that I fall in love a bit more each time.

I just never got the feeling that it would ever get there for her, even if as you say she was headed in that general direction. Like her going slightly crazy and seeing things and scaring the fuck out of Freddie, that was all good as it shows how little you can do when someone really is slipping away from you like that, and how Freddie can't let it happen to him again but also can't actually stop it.

But by going that far they actually reduced the impact it had, on me at least. Because by doing this she clearly needs proper help, whereas if she'd stayed on the edge like she was before she could pretend, and Freds could pretend to himself, that she was coping while she wasn't, which would be more affecting.
