People who just ships just bug me so. much. Like you said, it's fiction, so in theory we could write any combination of people. Obviously, most people don't do that, but who's to say that's wrong?

As for GTOP, the way you describe it is wonderful and I can definitely see why you ship it. I honestly ship it just because I love the way you write them, without ever seeing them interact. Just saying.

As for the bandwagon bullshit, fandom is full of claims like that. Things can get popular without it being about conforming or trying to fit it. Just, ugh.

thank you, amy! in all honesty i used to one of those people who made fun of other people for their ships but then the gd/top wank started and i figured out it sucks being at the other end of the line, so i've definitely stopped doing it. it's just such a bitter thing to do and you can easily offend somebody.

I prefer G-TOP over other pairings because of that beautiful friendship they have too.
G-Ri seems like it's mainly for fanservice for me, but Ji and Hyun's friendship and close relationship is just so real and rare to find!
I've never been a major shipper of any pairing till I discovered them.^^
I think it's fun to try and find the G-TOP occuring in certain videos and pics when you're not supposed to be focused on them, you know what I mean?

g/ri definitely has more than its fair share of fanservice (lucky bitches) but i don't doubt either that they care about each other. but i wouldn't say that gd and top's relationship is any less close just because they don't cling to each other. everybody interacts differently.

I really loved the drabbles
and I really have to agree w/ everything you've said.
I ship GTOP not just because of the awesome writers
but because they have this type of bond with each other that just seems so natural
and everything else f_i_x_m_e said, I agree since I really suck at putting my thoughts into words.
basically: GTOP > GRi because GTOP = natural, GRi = fanservice??

i dont think making a converse statement by saying gdtop outdoes gdri is fair, either. i wasn't trying to say gtop is real and everything else is fake, i was trying to say that we shouldn't compare pairings, or put one down just because it seems like they dont interact (or, because it seems like it's just fanservice) - because who are we to say that? we don't know the truth. we make assumptions based on our own biases and preferences, and you can really argue a case for any pairing if you wanted. so it should be gtop = gri = gdyb = whatever else, even if in our eyes, gtop >>>>>>> everything, lol.
