I love that they're older, and there's a sense that they've evolved, because time is such a strong presence in this story. on the one hand I want to hear more from Seunghyun and why they drifted apart in the first place but on the other--breakups happen, and it's hard to explain why. You really feel how little control Jiyong has over all of this and how he would've gone back to him, no questions asked, if Seunghyun'd take him.

i think part of the appeal of rpf is the fact that we get to write people who grow and evolve! gd and top are no longer who they were when i first got into fandom, i mean. even though it makes them harder to figure out, it definitely keeps me interested as a writer :D

i wanted to keep most things in gd's pov... which is my shoddy explanation as to why there was no explanation to their break-up when it happened, since all he saw were the good aspects of their relationship :c thanks for the comment, i always love the details you pick out, huu ♥

it's so interesting you say that about the minimalism bc when i started out i was really overly descriptive and used tons of adjectives/adverbs/etcetc - basically the opposite of i guess what comes across now. but that's good! i'm glad practice and self-editing has produced a (better?) result.

ALSO UNFORTUNATELY i lovelove circularity and book-ending fics so you might... see that a lot... in the future... but if it starts happening too much feel free to scream at me, lol.

As soon as I clicked on this, after the initial YAY that nearly made itself very loud and very heard at 2 am, my first thought was 'this better not break my heart'. Your fic breaks my heart way too often, and dammit, I only have one, lady.

I really love interesting formats, and how they lend a kind of poetic element to fics, and what you did with yours was lovely. Also, I like it's uniqueness--most of the time in gdtop fic, it's focused on the way GD changes, because they way he changes is loud and obvious and constant. But I like that instead, you focused on the way Seunghyun evolved, in ways both better and worse and sometimes neither, sometimes just different. He's not necessarily the guy who idolizes Big Poppa or wears clothes eight times his size, but at the end

yes, i just said in an earlier comment how i like writing rpf partly bc i get to deal with characters who are constantly growing and evolving. it keeps things interesting, especially tricky relationship dynamics like gd vs top, or solo enigmas like seunghyun ( by the way i am SO glad he doesn't wear big poppa or fubu anymore lmao THANK GOD).
