This week at school we had to present our personal philosophy speeches. Live life to the fullest is a nice, gooey and vague thing to say. But WHY? Why should I live life to the fullest when it's going to be taken from me (possibly at any moment)? What's the point if there is no point? How does "living life to the fullest" grant me any real, objective meaning?

Another related question: what the heck does "to the fullest" mean? Burn myself out with sex, drugs and rock 'n roll? Or something else?

These are questions that middle-class white kids feel uncomfortable hearing. And these are questions that must be answered.
