More interesting, likely. Less frustrating... possibly not, since Shawn was all the way across the country. Equally frustrating in a slightly different way.

Well. That was new. Shawn hesitated a moment as he formulated a response.

"... I feel like I missed half this conversation."

Lana sat up. "Shawn? Oh, God, I'm so sorry! Lex has been calling me all day to try and get me to come home to some stupid Halloween party he's having this weekend and I thought you were him again."

Stupid, of course, was a relative term given the thousands and thousands of dollars and A list guests who'd be there.
