Title: On Razor’s Edge - Chapter 3
Summary: Crystal Tokyo has arrived. So has Ando Tanaka.

MORE RAZOR'S EDGE!!! MY DAY JUST GOT 100% BETTER.

Smiling, Minako wasted no time to shove the wine bottle into his hands and hollered up the stairs. “All dirty little girls come to Auntie Miiiiiinaaaaaa!”

This made me grin SO HARD. This whole encounter with Mina and Hiro was brilliant, because they have had SUCH a rocky history and I want to just cry for Mina, showing up all dressed up with her stolen wine and being told she's not welcome. And here's Hiro, extending some kindness, and it's just what she needs, and maybe what he needs too.

To be fair, Takeshi didn’t really mope, he was too sophisticated for that. Now, what was the fancy word for moping? Ah yes, lament. He was probably lamenting his harsh fate, completely ignoring what she’d been trying to tell him all week: that things weren’t half as bad as he made them out to be.Ahahaha ( ... )

Rocky is a very good word to describe their relationship. Theoretically, they should get along splendidly and they did really like each other all the way back when they first met, but after the whole Takeshi/Ando/Minako snafu, that door was firmly shut for many years. So little acts of kindness, especially when shown without Makoto or Takeshi around, count a lot with those two.

Ah yes, of course she wants Takeshi to read her a story. I remember his epic story reading skills.Kids sometimes pick the oddest favourites and Aiko has picked Takeshi. Other than her ( ... )

I just have to say how much I ADORE this verse! I love the cute little Ando Rei interactions and the angst that lies between all the other characters (pretty much the exact opposite of Airmail, btw). I also love how no one really understands anyone else, but everyone is trying so hard to make everyone else happy (except the few selfish ones like Hiromasa). Talking doesn't even work with these guys.

I wonder how the royals are dealing with the stress that they know everyone else is feeling... especially Mamoru......

That is a very astute observation! Yes, the angst has migrated from Ando/Rei to basically everyone else. And they are trying, but they want different things and have different outlooks on life, which doesn't make life any easier for them.
