Ugly

I developed this terrible habit of floating to the cosmetics section of any store that has a cosmetics section. I feel this impulse of needing to buy and try something new, maybe even 2 colors for variety. As a result, my make-up collection is a little overwhelming (especially for someone that doesn't wake up early enough to put on make-up daily ( Read more... )

That organizer looks so handy! I don't think there are enough lipstick spaces for me though...I've been buying way too much stuff lately too OTL

I am in dire need of an organizer like that. I hope if it's okay that I may just buy that same one. ._. I've also got that kind of bad buying habit too. (it's kind of sad.. my makeup is ghettoly stuffed in a gallon zip-lock bag and one pencil pouch for lip products ( ... )

the organizer is a great buy, so i think it'd be worth it if you get one too =D!

ah yea i saw that article too...it's a shame that even high end products like YSL contain terrible ingredients. i'm a little saddened that NYX has paraben in their ingredients too, but i wear so little make-up on a daily basis, i'll probably just keep most of the products until their shelf life ends (probably in another year or so).

getting more natural make-up is a great start though! i'm glad tarte made the cool list, because their products are really good! i hope the change will be better to your skin too- burning sensations are never pleasant T^T.

if you find any awesome natural products, let me know! =D

I was really shocked about some high end products having bad ingredients too. My aunt said something like this too the other week but I didn't believe her until I read this article and looked it up.

It might sound gross but I haven't really thought of the shelf life of my products. :< I looked it up though and most of my makeup still seem good. I don't wear too much everyday besides a gel eyeliner and little concealer so, so far I've only replaced those ( ... )

oo interesting with the BB cream! i wonder how the regular BB creams measure in comparison.

no worries about comment length! it's nice to converse about stuff like this, hehe.

that's too bad about the coastal scents palletes =(! on the plus side, we'll have legitimate excuses to splurge on tarte, LOL. "butbut...it's good for me! =D"

So sad that makeup industries are like this, but thankfully natural/organic makeup is making a rise now more than ever before :)

Be careful for your shampoos and hair products too! I'm pretty sure I'm allergic to sodium lauryl sulfate/sodium laureth sulfate, which is a common ingredient in cleaning products such as shampoos and toothpaste for the de-greasing properties. It's the long-term use of that particular ingredient that caused the irritation on my hands which led to a double whammy of psoriasis + eczema. ...Whyyy herbal essence, whyyyyy

aww, your poor hands! =(
yea, i switched to sulfate free shampoo a bit ago. there's one from organics (i don't remember if that's the actual brand name), but it's cherry blossom and ginger scented- it's super pretty smelling.

i picked up a blueberry shampoo too from steph's link (yes to carrots). it's supposed to be at least 95% natural without icky ingredients =D. i'll let you know how it is!
