her body curled, unable to stand being in such close proximity as him. the whimpers of softened cries and unheard of pleas had him wincing. his fingers curling lightly around her wrists to tug her closer even at the refusals, the shakes of her head -- he just needed to be there for her.

"you're not alone, you know." he gulped, hand raised to run a anxious hand through his red hair.

"the problem is -- i want to be."

the tendrils of her blue locks swirled against her stained cheeks, nose sniffling as her eyes shut tight3. he didn't want to see her like this. she was doing it on purpose.

her fingers twinkled against the ray of sun that bore it's loving embrace through her fingers. each moving digit waved and faltered the shadows that danced around on the pavement below her. her feet moving on their own and similar accord to her hands as she sat in the bleachers, legs and arms restless as ever.

jihoon chuckled, watching as the younger girl played with nothing but her own thoughts and limbs. his hand absently intertwined with the one hand that wasn't being held captive by the numerous enzymes that consumed her body.

"why do you do that?"

hyeri looked up, blinking at the boy once before reflecting his confused expression with her own smile. "why shouldn't i?"

"are you really that bored?" he raised an eyebrow, tilting his head whilst trying to glance at her hands and the moving shadows she was causing.

she rolled her eyes, shoving his shoulder with hers lightly before continuing with her one-on-one game with the sun. "it's fun."

"what's fun? moving light?"

"as a matter a fact, yes."

hands waved wildly over the open air. the sky-roof had been lowered and with given speed of fifty mph, hyomin was pretty sure it was a little less than safe to be sitting in the front seat of a red nineteen-sixty-seven mustang convertible, moving as enthusiastically as she was. but did she care?

"whooooooooooooooooo~"

nope. not at all.

"sunyoung! get down." feeling the calloused hand of the driver's clamp onto her dress before she was yanked down into her seat. the same hand had moved across to pull her seat belt back onto her, clicking it secure before being placed back onto the steering wheel.

"that was no fun."

"well, getting a ticket and having a sudden passenger fall to their death isn't fun either."

daehyun side-eyed her, glancing haphazardly from the streets, into the rearview mirror then at his overly-excited company.

"i'll get you a banana later."

"i don't want no banana."

hyomin pouted, eyes crossing as weirdly as she could as she sat up clumsily in her seat and stared at daehyun, willing him to look at her.

"say you want the banana."

"sun-- i don't want a banana though."

"say it!"

daehyun sighed, eyes infinitely falling away from the road to look at his girlfriend. "banana likey."

with a smile, hyomin nodded and fixed her seating arrangement, smoothing out her dress as she stared straight ahead like a good girl. "good."

"why is your hair purple?"

he blinked.

"why is your hair purple?"

she blinked.

then by reflex she raised her hand to pick up a stray strand and hold it against the light. the fibers of the hair were shaded a deep, rich brown though placed under certain displays of the sun would have them looking purple-ish at times.

she pouted, eyes squinting as she tried to identify her representative color of the rainbow in her hair. "it's not purple."

"it's purple." howon insisted, even going as far as picking up a piece of her hair and holding it out to her in a helpful gesture of proving to his girlfriend that her hair was, like his own, in fact -- purple.

she scoffed, raising her other hand to push at his abdomen, moving away to sit up straight instead of leaning onto the restaurant table. "yours is purple."

"yours is purple-er."

yoonhye frowned, "it is not. stop saying that."

"what?" he stilled, tilting his head as he blinked at her once more -- now feeling clueless as to why she was frowning. "i thought you liked purple."

"starting to dislike it since you keep insist-- "

"-- it's because it's true."

she flung her meatball at him.

"shut up."

sunwoo/serri | 156

looking through the magnifying glass, serri frowned, the leaf attached to her hibiscus flower was yellowing. this was not good.

no, not good at all.

"what are you looking at?" glancing over her shoulder, sunwoo pursed his lips, eyes raising to see just what the strawberry-head girl was doing.

"it's not green."

"what's not green." lifting up a petal from another flower, he inspected it's fragrence, though within seconds he felt his nose itching profusively.

he sneezed.

"yah! don't get your manly grossness all over my flowers, sunwoo!"

looking back over at the yellowing leaf, serri couldn't help but blink in confusion -- her eyes picking up the sample though in some type of miracle within the few seconds she had looked away; it had turned green once more.

leaning back over serri's shoulder, sunwoo took in the sight of the now green-leaf. "i must have a magic nose or something."

initiate heavy serri eye roll.

september third, twenty-twelve. three-oh-eight post meridiem. three girls who lived on the west coast decided to suddenly talk on twitter. a girl in norcal named chanel. another girl named rina down deep in socal and another somewhere in the middle named razel.

that day they decided that enough was enough and that their love for each other was too much.

no, this was no romeo and juliette romance. how it was not?

well, for starters -- there were three of them. they were all girls and ... romeo and juliette were two people. unless you decided to rip one of the girls apart then it could be two but it wasn't meant to be that way.

they were all too in love with each other a circle that combined their love made itself known as a triangle, corners bound by obstacles that they couldn't face. of who loved who more and who was more fit to be with them.

no one could anticipate the addition of a fourth.

they didn't even have a chance to say hello before they found that they couldn't say anything at all.

fast fingers moved across the screen in a speed of mach, breath cool and restricted. his fingers tapped their way to paradise, hoping that this would be the chance -- his chance to hear her voice again.

"yoboseyeo?" he heard a gust of chimes against his ear, a heart0erupting smile took over his face, almost at a loss for words. enough to have him gulping deeply to relieve his throat of it's dryness.

a second passed, silence took over the line before he could finally get himself to speak. "i miss you, ri-ah."

then the heart-shattering moment came.

"who is this?"

he hadn't thought. he wasn't thinking, really. glancing down at the phone in hand, myungsoo pursed his lips, a sigh slipping out heavily as he hung up.

the woman on the phone heard the dial-tone ring as an answer to her question. she knew the voice, knew the name, the face, every little detail. and yet -- she couldn't bring herself to think.

woori thought she'd rather be thoughtless.
