Final Fantasy Wiki character page[personality] Lucrecia is a kind woman, but in her youth she had a tendency to rush into things with a dangerous thoughtlessness. In her time she's paid the price for this more than anyone could ever imagine. Despite the fact she has a stubbornness practically unrivaled when she's made a decision, her character is very weak. She's quick to run and, when all else fails, hide. This is something she's been attempting to change about herself, but even now she struggles to face the challenges in her life. To admit her flaws, her errors, her feelings; to apologize and not fear repercussion.
At this point in her life she's lost faith in herself; she believes she's good for nothing. But in that belief there's a sort of comfort. That if she knows she will inevitably fail, there's no need to cringe from it. Because she already expects it. Her comfortableness with what she sees as her sins (her failings in life) is perhaps the most striking feature about Lucrecia. They haunt her and yet they're so part of her every day thoughts anymore she would do nothing without them. They are what both drive and hinder her.
They are also what give her her large amount of empathy for others. She understands what it is to be afraid or lost, alone or uncertain. She never blames others, but with smiles and teasing words, attempts to help them move on. There's always a sad, tired tinge to her expressions, someone used to suffering, but she dislikes to see this in others. While she is no saint, if she can help someone find their way to a smile she will try at least to do so.
She has a love for fun and games, the beauty of simple things such as picnics and days spent outside. She can't quite enjoy them as she used to due to the burden she feels from her sins, but they're things she still admires nonetheless. Quieter than in her younger days, she's also more reclusive, but she finds it hard to ignore others around her, particularly those in no way connected with her past. Seeing such people always gives her a fleeting hope that with them she can make a fresh start, a right start.
[orientation] Straight (she is attracted to both her male bodyguard in the game and marries and has a child with her male co-worker in the game)
[appearance] No changes
[wish] To be forgiven for her sins
[requested house] Iki Household
[misc notes] Lucrecia has her canon deus ex machina, Jenova cells. These cells basically make her to all intents and purposes immortal (if you were to cut off her head she'd still most likely live; it's alluded to in canon that she attempted suicide multiple times, but each time the Jenova cells she contains healed the damage making her unable to die). She can be injured, but those injuries will heal, the shallower the injury the faster it will heal. She doesn't need to eat or breathe (she spends thirty years trapped in a crystal of her own will). She can also hear the "will of Jenova"; if another Jenova cell carrier calls out to others with Jenova cells she will feel the pull. Beyond that if she gave someone a blood transfusion they'd also have Jenova cells though unlike Lucrecia they wouldn't be immortal, rather they'd have increased strength and stamina, be able to hear the will of Jenova as well and might possibly go insane (she's not likely to give anyone any blood transfusions unless absolutely necessary).
Weird super powers aside Lucrecia was also a leading biotechnologist in her day and knows more than a thing or two about Planet and Life Studies.

Ah... Is this on?
[A pretty, young looking woman sits back and smiles at the camera. There's a tired drag to the corners of her eyes as if something is weighing upon her, but she doesn't seem to be in distress at the moment. Far from it she seems rather calm of all things.]
Oh, the light... I see. Hello! I was...
[She looks down, the slightest trace of a sardonic smile on her lips.]
It's very nice out today. I managed to get some time off. Just an hour or so. I was wondering...
[A glance up from beneath her eyelashes, almost playful; this is such a silly request and she knows it. But she has to ask it anyways. It's too nice a day and... it's been such a long time since she's had any company at all. It's nice to speak with others and enjoy the day.]
If anyone else thinks they could get a bit of time off, the garden in the Hibiscus District... It would make a good spot for a picnic, don't you think?
[A pause and then she reaches for the communicator.]
It'd be nice. To have company.
[The video turns off.]
[Prose Log]
Someone was speaking to her, but she couldn't quite get her mind around the words. Something... something about expectations... duties to be fulfilled. She wasn't quite...
An irritated sensation of burning on her hand drew her attention; it was that which had woken her in the first place. Presently she realized her eyes were open and she was looking at an unfamiliar wooden ceiling. The person who had been speaking had left. Instead there was now someone else seeing to the burn on her hand and another person brushing her hair. How long had it been since she'd run a brush through her hair...
She closed her eyes again, not wanting to wake yet. The people tending to her left and she was all alone. What was going on... All she could remember was...
Vincent. Seeing Vincent. Being held by Vincent. Do this for me and I will give you my forgiveness.
She sat up. "Vincent?" The first thing she realized was she hadn't the slightest idea where she was. It was a simple room, but everything was well-made from the bed to the... dressing gown on the floor? Closer inspection proved it was a kimono, much like they wore in Wutai. Was she in Wutai then?
None of this made sense. But what she did know... "That wasn't Vincent." A hand went to her mouth, uncertain, resigned. These past thirty years she'd tried so hard to do nothing, harm no one else. What had she gotten herself into now...?
