depressing music

 It is beyond me why so many people listen to really depressing music. Now dont get me wrong i like punk music,but in most of specifically emo lyrics are about slitting their wrists, suicide and junk like that.

I won't lie to you I mostly just listen to Indie...but sometimes (mostly when i'm feeling down) i'll listen to emo, but i could never

hmm.. i enjoyed reading your thought on "punk music" aka: depressing music. lol i see exactly where your coming from. and you made your points very well. and they are good ones. but i dont think ill punk music listeners are that way. i live on that kind of music and very seldom am i qoute un qoute "down in the dumps" i think starting off it all depends on your personality, you know? well anyway haha thats enough of that. i hope that this party thing really works out i miss everyone to the fullest. your the greatest erin i hope we get to hang out before school starts. <33 love always, cassie

It takes just as much creativity and talent to write a sad song as it does a joyful one, if you do it well, and it's not neccesarily the easiest kind of song to write because it usually involves being a lot more truthful to yourself that most people are willing to be.

no i don't think so, well at least not for me. I can write sad song, alot easier then when I'm really really happy, cuz i have too many emotions gpoing on. I think i can be truthful with myself pretty easily...or at least I'm getting better at it.

I am so confused...I had no idea that half my indie songs were also emo songs...what makes them different. well i think indie has been around longer then emo, but i'm not sure, i'll have to look it up... but i suppose it doesnt really change my thery, I only like songs where the lyrics are meaningful...i'll have to think about it some more,
but i still think that writing thing holds true

Erin ... u rock ... and i would do all in my power to cry if u died. haha. Very deep perspectice on this depressing music thing btw. I have no idea why they would call it "untitled". So, now that i have the chance to write ANYTHING i want, i think it would be really fun to write the top 10 stupid things or really hilarious things that happened this year ...

1.) I LIKE TULIPS!
2.) u knocked over that bird thing in the secret garden
3.) "how did he live there with all those horses for all that time"
4.) u NEVER read ur email
5.) tripping and falling down the stairs at the church (many times)
6.) PATRICK ... hahaha i would still be scared for my life
7.) i'd like a garden salad please ...
8.) our water battle at tipton creek the one day
9.) the whole time i thought u had sex ... but ur still a virgin ... i think ... im not sure about that though ...
10.) UR JUST HILARIOUS IN GENERAL!!!!!!

ok ... so in my last comment i forgot to add a stupid thing that was hilarious ...

11.) wheni pissed myself b/c of the time u slipped on the ice in front of ur house and fell down flat on ur face. i laughed for literally 20 minutes after that and still laugh to this day when i think of it ... ok ... just thought i would share so i could humiliate u by letting everyone else know what a ditz u r ... love ya erin!
