While looking through the Radio Times, I found a letter written by a fan regarding the relationship between Merlin and Arthur, and I would like peoples opinion on the matter.
I wish to express my desire for a plot development in Merlin that many will have imagined- a romance between Merlin and Arthur. There's undeniable chemistry. Subtle comments and glances are continually exchanged. Merlin himself acknowledges: "Everything I do is for him." It would be a waste if Arthur were simply paired off with Gwen and Merlin with Morgana. The show has taken an unorthodox approach to Camelot- why not take it in another new direction?
Now my question is, how far is too far? Do you think this is a step too far? or do you think it's harmless and funny?
I am an Arthur/Merlin shipper, and I'm not ashamed of that; but the fact that anyone of the cast or their families could stumble upon on it, does make me feel a bit uneasy.
