Dear Best Friend-

Dear best friend-

You're the person that I'd rhyme for,
The one I'll always have the time for.
The reason that I'm breathing,
That I live life from A to Z.

You're the reason I'll stop crying,
You're the reason I'll keep trying.
You're the reason I keep going,
You mean everything to me.

I could rhyme and rhyme and rhyme until my brains turned to blue goo, but it really wouldn't matter because, after all, you hate rhyming words. And heaven knows I would do anything to irk you on this, your day.

Happy birthday, oh sister of my soul, keeper of my spirit, and owner of the left half of my brain. I wish nothing but the best for you as you progress into the shadows of senility. Before you know it, your hearing will be going, you'll walk with a limp, and cynically remember "the good old days." But rest assured, I will be gawping at "how high those hems have risen" right along with you until you are elderly and in depends. And just think, now we're one year closer. Grin.

I love you dearest, and I hope you're having a fantastic birthday.

"Because the things that mean the world to us must be celebrated..."
