With the new diet, having a blender at work will make the shakes much better. They mentioned the Magic Bullet today. It's $99 on the site, but $45-50 on Amazon and Target.  I'm not looking to spend a lot, but I'd like it to work well.
This is what will help me:

1.  Do you have an immersion blender? If so, what kind?
2.  Does it come with the cup to ( Read more... )

I don't have, but I will say that the protein shake people on the WLS message boards swear by the Magic Bullet, that a no-name isn't worth the money. They say it's really worth it.

That's exactly what I was wondering about other brands. I'm guessing the consistency will be key for me. Thanks!

Does it make a mess making a drink/shake in that open cup? I'm wondering if the Magic Bullet is also appealing because it's closed and the cup is what it is blended in.

i am obsessed with my Magic Bullet... i have been using it every day for the last 3 months. My Mom got it for me after I has my esophagus problems.

Since you will be using it a lot, I recommend buying the extra set of cups. I did and it is awesome cause you don't have to wash them out as often.

The MB is really worth it in my opinion, it takes the mess out of making smoothies, etc.

You guys have helped sell it to me, that is for sure! The set I was looking at comes with either 4 or 6 cups, I can't remember. Are you talking more cups than that or that amount? I will certainly be going through a lot of cups!!!! :)

My mom bought it off of their website and it was buy one complete set, get another complete set free. She kept one and gave me the other. One set comes with 4 cups. The offer is still there.

I know you can also buy it at Bed Bath and Beyond and other places too, so I don't know what's the best deal.

Then I went back and bought the 6 extra cups (Magic Bullet Party Pack), cuz 4 weren't enough. Now I have 10 and that gets me through the week. See under related products.

I used the MB for the Bachelorette Party I threw my friend. It was a big hit... we made all kinds of cocktails.
