Went back to the doctor so they could "get to the root of the problem." Which apparently means doing every known test on me. They did x-rays on my neck, neuro-tests, a urinalysis, drew blood, gave me a shot in the butt (that still didn't make the migraine go all the way away, grrr), put me back in physical therapy, and are scheduling me for a CAT ( Read more... )

I was just reading it for the first time this year.

Not random at all. But I love the book too. It's like...there are just some parts of it that make my heart ache.

Ack, doctor-type things are no fun at all. But I love the line "shut as a shell" though! :D

No, not at all. But it wouldn't really be all that bad (minus the shots) if you didn't have to wait a minimum of an hour just to get back to the examining room. If they would usher you right back, meet with you promptly and get you in and out within an hour I really wouldn't have as much of a problem with it.
