I saw this linked in the Glee-tv comm (I'm catching up :P) and just had to say I really enjoyed it, and liked your perspective.

Like you, I've definitely become more open about being a fangirl in recent years - I think partly because I have an increasing group of likeminded friends. It just makes everything so much more fun!

And your conclusion sounds like me - fandom often helps keep me going, I LOVE "Restless", I'm a huge booknerd, and I like how I am. ;D Thanks for sharing! :D ("I’m going to keep obsessing over television shows, keep being able to quote directly from the episode “Restless” of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, keep turning to fandom when I have nothing else.
