Luke looked up. He found it ironic that he was currently working on his story. Glaring at her, he set his laptop aside and folded his hands. Opening his mouth, he debated whether or not to speak. But, he really had no chance, now, did he?

"Libby looked down at Luke, her amusement understated but apparent. The writer tried to search her words for some form of meaning and for a second, regretted the confusing smite he had ordered. 'What could that possibly mean,' Luke asked, standing up."

Of course, Luke hadn't stood up. Well, fuck. Luke stood up.

Libby sighed and rolled her eyes, pushing her hair off her face. She held up a hand, ducked into the kitchen and returned with two glasses of iced tea. She handed one to him then said

"Sitting on my own not by myself." She nodded toward the back door as she did.

"Luke thought that maybe she had wanted iced-tea or wanted to know if Luke had needed any. Either way, he followed her outside to sit on the porch and drink iced-tea. He noted how the light reflected in her hair but looked away when she looked back. 'I am thirsty,' he confirmed, once they were outside."

She can't help laughing at the narrative he has to speak in then she furrowed her brow and touched her hair a little self consciously before she nods.

"You could see the outside face, it looks good, it must be great" she said looking up at the sky.
