This is so incredibly gorgeous *loves*

I love your John and I love your Rodney and it's so good to see them ordinary, but still happy *squishes them* and I love your Atlantis imagery, it's beautiful :)

Late reply (sorry!), but thanks for the feedback. I love John and Rodney in ordinary situations because it's so much more poignant, somehow. I'm really glad you liked this, and thanks for commenting. :)

Oh, beautiful. I read the original after this, and they're wonderful together; this adds even more depth of feeling to the initial story, and it's funny and heartwarming and makes me want to cuddle up with a John and a scarf too, and your and Rodney's and John's love for books just shines through.

I was just telling rue_de_hoquet too that I'm now going to consider these gems the true story behind Rodney's Bookstore down the street. :)

That's Rodney's Bookstore! I'd heard it mentioned but hadn't really looked it up. Thanks for the link!

And I'm glad you liked the fic. The original series was so great -- sweet and lyrical and understated and I was a little nervous about carrying that over from her original work. I'm glad it worked for you.

...and your and Rodney's and John's love for books just shines through.
Aww. That bit right there makes me warm and happy inside. :)

I love this story. The pocketwatch reference especially got me - such a great addition to the original. Very moving.
