I have to say, when people - with the exception of my mom - call me "Katherine", I always feel slightly alienated.  My mom is the only person in my actual life who ever calls me Katherine, and it's generally used in sentences like "Katherine, why do you have to go caving?" and "Katherine, what am I going to do with you?"  So whenever I go to a job
