Sex

Maybe I've watched too many movies, but I wonder sometimes if I am missing out. I've never had wild, throw everything off the desk or can't wait to be with you in the back of a cab kind of sex. Is that normal? I don't think I've ever wanted it that bad. But I wish I did. Is there something wrong with me?

I tend to think that you've been watching too many movies. Based on what I know from my life and that of others that I am close to, that sort of wild, urgent, driven sex is pretty rare. And it's not always healthy when it does happen. Different people have different needs and urges. Some people don't get the joy of preparing an ornate multi-course meal and consuming it; that doesn't make them missing something or make the person who does enjoy it bad; they're just different.

To hold with the analogy, if you feel like you want to learn how to cook, you can start to develop those skills and abilities and see where it takes you. But remember, cooking involves sharp implements and burning surfaces, so care and safety are essential. I'd say the same thing about desk sex. OK, not so much the sharp/burning aspects, but being aware of some care and safety issues. :D It's only when you do feel trusting and safe that you can truly let go.

Or at least that's what I've heard :)
