It seems like anytime I try and define what I want my relationships with people of the opposite sex to be, I end up sounding like I want to date everyone on the planet without commitment or a second thought. I am going to try and explain, so excuse me while I vent my frustration

No, Marlena. You don't sound like you want to date every person on the planet when you say you just want to go on a couple of dates. Every girl understands what you're talking about. It's the guys who don't, and they would, if they didn't want you to be theirs and only theirs. Everyone wants to have you.

It's the price the you pay for being intelligent, beautiful, sweet, caring, and pretty much every other positive descriptive word in my vocabulary.
