Personality: The most important thing to know about Sebastian is that he always looks out for Number One. His interests come before anyone else's, and that includes people whom he likes (of which there aren't a great many). In particular, he has little regard for the whims and troubles of humans - being a demon, he sees himself as superior to humans in every way. He's quite unsympathetic, even frequently indulging in schadenfreude; he actually enjoys watching humans scramble futilely about their lives. While he has no concern for them or for their follies, he does find them interesting.
As a demon and as a man, Sebastian possesses a great deal of pride - pride in his 'work,' in his decorum, in his appearance, in his power - and it shows in spades. He has no reservations in accepting compliments, and any humble rebuff of praise is likely a false show of modesty. As a man with very high standards in all regards, he holds himself to high standards, as well, and accepts nothing less than perfection in his own work (luckily, he rarely, if ever, performs anything less).
On the outside, he appears to be polite, refined, patient and unassuming, and when the mood is right, witty, charismatic and charming. He even puts on an amiable, cheerful air, though the perceived incompetence of those around him often tries his patience to the point of seething temper. This enchanting, upbeat face is the first part of Sebastian that any stranger meets, and often, if they don't stay long, the only. Those who do become regular acquaintances might, in time, come to see some of Sebastian's less pleasant facets, such as his intolerance for failure and his infallible pride, but only those who become his enemies (and who generally don't survive long) are typically witness to his cold and merciless heart.
Sebastian cares so very little for the comfort, well-being or happiness of others that, when it suits him, he will go out of his way to be ruthlessly cruel, whether for business or pleasure. More often than not, this is done at the behest of his human master, but occasionally also of his own design. There are those who Sebastian actively dislikes (as opposed to the more neutral 'doesn't like'), who are generally the targets of this sort of behaviour.
On the other hand, when Sebastian finds someone to be fond of (a rare occurrence, considering his high standards), that same doggedness that he applies to everything else in his life becomes an earmark of loyalty. He will go to ludicrous lengths for a person that he truly cares about, and will go well out of his way to please them (though not so far as to tarnish his own ideals). Even so, as a demon, his brand of 'affection' is a bit different than what we might consider normal, so it would take a hell of a person (more than likely another demon) to reciprocate with the sort of feelings and actions he'd be looking for.
Strengths/Weaknesses: Having lived a great many years (at least half a millennium, to be sure), Sebastian has had plenty of time to perfect plenty of skills. He can cook, clean, sew and garden, speaks multiple languages fluently and plays several different instruments proficiently, to begin. Many of these skills will be retained even after his powers as a demon vanish, but he may have to rework how he does them (no more super-speed or -strength to help with housework, for example). He's developed a talent for feigning patience and reservation in recent years, despite having a past reputation for being impatient, gluttonous and hedonistic.
Unfortunately, the balance of this is that there aren't many things he isn't good at. (Odds are, however, that there are more than he realizes - he'll begin to discover them once his powers dissipate.) Among his notable weaknesses, however, are both dogs and cats, for very different reasons. Sebastian hates dogs, and will go out of his way to avoid any dog he's been forbidden to kill (you can guess what happens to the rest). A canine, dog, puppy or otherwise, will throw a wrench in his plans and spoil his mood and his focus for hours, if not his game face, as well.
On the other hand, Sebastian positively adores cats. Any kind of feline - kitten, cat, lion, tiger, lynx - will immediately interrupt his train of thought and his composure. He will always stop to pet a cat, except, perhaps, in life-and-death situations (this is yet untested). While his master has forbidden him from keeping cats, he's still found ways to smuggle them in, and in fact, owns a growing collection. A cat is a surefire way to win him over, distract him or just stop him in his tracks.
His only other exploitable weakness is his master, himself. It is in Sebastian's best interests, in many ways, to look out for the well-being of his master. While he won't always keep the boy from undue harm or unnecessary annoyance, he will always ensure his ultimate safety, even putting it before his own.

First Person Sample: In a word: refreshing.
This world, while full of oddities, is really quite interesting. Having lived so long in one world, it's a rare (and I do mean rare) treat to experience an entirely new one. These people are human, and not unlike those I'm accustomed to, but the society, the fauna, the atmosphere are all incomparable to the place I came from. These Pokémon seem to be borderline-sentient, some more intelligent than others, and true to form, humans have successfully enslaved them thanks to a mere communication gap.
But then, the Pokémon seem to, in many cases, be quite content to live in service to humans. One has to wonder if the relationship isn't symbiotic in some way, or if the Pokémon are gaining something more than the humans realize.
It would seem I have some time to explore these possibilities, having no way to return for the time being. I'm certain the young master will try to have me find a way out, but oddly enough... I'm not feeling particularly compelled to obedience. ♥
As for this Pokémon I have with me - a Teddiursa, it would seem - I believe I'll call her... Ellie. A charming nickname for a charming creature, don't you agree?
Third Person Sample: To say the least, Sebastian was more than a little disgruntled at his rude ejection from the house, nevermind his waking up there in the first place. He took a moment, once outside, to get his bearings and seek out the young master - who wasn't... anywhere nearby. In fact, Sebastian couldn't feel him anywhere. The sharp edge of wariness began to make its way into his consciousness. This place felt different, and as far as Sebastian could tell, Ciel Phantomhive wasn't here. That was a problem.
... Or was it? He supposed that without the young master here to instruct him, he was free to do as he pleased. Of course, he would make an effort to find the boy, but the first step in doing so was finding out where he was, himself.
As if on cue, a beeping sounded from the inner pocket of Sebastian's jacket. He reached inside to pull out a small red device, which he found he was able to open.
Welcome to the world of Pokémon, young trainer!
Sebastian listened to the device until it ceased, then looked around. The only visible path out of the town was that one there - the sign said... well, he was sure it said something, but he couldn't read it at this distance. His brow knit. Surely he should be able to read that.
At any rate, he'd have a better idea of what lie beyond that road if he got a bird's-eye view of it. Glancing about, he moved to leap onto the nearest roof -
"Hell!" The curse escaped before he could stop it. He'd just jumped high enough to catch the house's gutter in the face, and landed altogether ungracefully back on the ground. Pain shot up his spine from his tailbone, much more painful than falling had any right to be. He actually felt a stinging reaction in his eyes.
Carefully, he picked himself back up. Something was obviously negating his powers here, which was... eerie, at best. He couldn't even search for a strong presence nearby, because he couldn't feel anything. This left him with very few options.
The bag he'd had thrust at him by the woman in that house was still here. He'd dropped it when he'd fallen, but he picked it back up again and began to rifle through it. Food and other supplies, some potentially useful, some utterly useless; clothing and a book. He considered the clothes for a moment - not unacceptable by any means: a three-piece suit and a bowler to go along with it - before cracking open the book.
'Catch Pokémon and expand your collection!' one page said. Catch them? Sebastian hadn't even seen one yet. Another page said 'No stealing other people's Pokémon! Poké Balls are to be thrown only at wild Pokémon!' Besides being unnecessarily emphatic, the book wasn't altogether helpful in explanation. What, for example, were Poké Balls?
Sebastian set the book aside and began rooting through the rest of the bag. A few bottles of unidentifiable liquid, a rope, something that Sebastian was forced to assume was the local currency, and... five red-and-white balls. Poké Balls, perhaps? If he ran into a Pokémon, he might find out.
But the book had said somewhere, too, that a trainer could only carry six Pokémon at a time. So why did he have five balls? Another dig through the bag turned up nothing new, so he began to put things away. Upon tucking the electronic device from earlier into his jacket again, he noticed another of those balls, this one tucked into a slot on a belt at his hip. (He was quite sure the belt wasn't his any more than the bag was.)
Taking the ball into his hand, he turned it over a few times before pressing the button on the front of it. The ball grew larger and then, somewhat unexpectedly, burst open. A bright light resolved itself into a small shape on the ground which, when it became clearer, was not unlike a teddy bear.
"Urrr... ?" it said, and then, cheerfully, "Sa!" It launched itself at Sebastian's legs, and he couldn't react fast enough to stop it. Perplexed, he stared down at the creature. This, he decided, must be a Pokémon.
