Vorona always lived in Russia with her father, who was part of an illegal gun organization. Her mother died at a young age but Vorona does not seem to think about this and never mentions her so it is almost like she has no memory of her. The real thing that makes her wonder is her father. He never looked at her and instead he would only give her books to read. She was told this was her fathers way of showing love but as a girl it wasn't like she could comprehend such things, she had no idea what love was in the first place. Books were the only thing that taught Vorona about love and educated her about other things. It does not mean she never went to school but no one was willing enough to get close to her because of her family’s background. Vorona herself never really cared about this but this meant that she has no experience a normal girl would have. Her father had a variety of books that Vorona would read at an amazing speed. She took everything in like a sponge, remembering everything she had read whether it was of importance or completely useless. This was the way Vorona learned. And when a book was not in her fathers collection he would get her that book without a second thought.
At the age of ten Vorona killed a burglar who had broken into her house when she was home alone. Through much luck and the knowledge she had learned from her books she managed to kill the man. When he died Vorona took note of how his body stiffened at less of the time than the books said. There was a odd feeling that shot through her and there was only one word to describe it. Hunger. After her father found out what had happen he hugged her. This was the rare time her father ever showed affection and as he held her her thoughts began to race. Did her father show her affection because she was strong and had killed a bad man? Was this why he was happy and willing to look at her? Truthfully she knew this was a childish thought, but she accepted her conclusion.
It was not long after she wanted to learn to fight and use weapons. Samia (Simon) and Denis were the one who had taught her how to strengthen herself and defend herself, and soon Vorona changed what she had learned into something more for combat.. She proved herself capable and started going after delinquents on the streets and proceeded to members of the mafia moving up to more and more opponents at once. One day she killed every member of a rivaling organization her father were suppose to attack against after overhearing information of their whereabouts. By the time her father arrived to find her, Vorona was reading surrounded by death, unharmed. This time instead of a warm embrace she received a hard slap on the face. She did not find this odd, but rather she found it only reasonable. But it was this gesture that caused her to finally realized the real reason she killed. It was never for her father to look at her, that was only an excuse. Instead, just by killing there was a sense of excitement. To kill and to blow them apart was how she fulfilled her need and the hunger for knowledge about how weak humans were. Were they all that weak? Vorona wanted to know and she killed for it. She was soon given a nickname, Vorona which meant crow in Russian because crows are smart creatures that love rotten meat.
Sometime later, Vorona runs away with a man named Slon. Taking a good amount of weaponry they ended up in Japan where she became a freelancer as an assassin or kidnapper. There isn’t enough information to say why or how this happened, but becoming a freelancer was never her intention. She simply went along with it. She knows very well that she has cut any ties with her family and says herself that once they do meet again one of them will have to die. As a freelancer she was given a job to kill Anri Sonohara but while on the job she decides against killing her, since she seemed like a normal girl that she had no interest it. It was attacking her that Vorona realizes Anris ability (with Saika) and tells her that she will be back again since the Black Motorbike had interrupted and she had to leave.
Vorona meets with Anri again a second time while on the job in her attempt to kidnap Akane. Anri chases Vorona to Raira High School and fight between them is interrupted by a man named Chikage who claims that he did not want to see two girls hurting each others beautiful body and faces (Even though Vorona was wearing a motorcycle suit and helmet Chikage decided to simply stop them after confirming that Vorona was a girl). Vorona takes note of Chikage and wonders if he was a worthy opponent but this train of thought was also broken by another man. Shizuo was walking towards them carrying her motorcycle on his shoulders with only one arm. This astonishes her, because she knew that even if Slon and Simon could also do the same they couldn't possibly only use one arm. Plus, this man wasn't build like the other two. Her animal instincts warned her of how dangerous Shizuo is but that only excited her so she stabbed him only to find it barely harmed him. She runs off, angering Shizuo since the knife incident reminded him of Izaya. In the end Vorona and Slon do get away, but not after Shizuo saves Akane by kicking the car that was their getaway.
"Later that evening Akabayashi and Aosaki leisurely defeat Vorona and Slon. According to their deal with Drakon, Awakusu-kai confiscates the weapons Vorona and Slon took with them to Japan in return for Vorona's release. Igor, Simon and Denis take Vorona to Russian Sushi" (quote is from timeline from anni_fiesta due to limited translations. In a nutshell Drakon (Voronas father) had sent his subordinates after Vorona and Slon only to work out a compromise).
[Personality]
Vorona shows very little emotion on her face but does have emotion and on the surface it also seems as if she takes after her father. But according to Lingerin (the boss of the organization) her father is a robot and Vorona on the other hand can be emotional. Still nevertheless, her feelings rarely show on her face. No matter what the topic was Vorona will seem un-phased by the subject. Even when Slon spoke to Vorona about fetus and nipples she answered his question without hesitation and no embarrassment.
Vorona is stubborn when it comes to her opponents. She would never back down from a target and works instinct and impulses. She is a fighting addict that would kill people easily with no consideration for her target but it should be noted that she does not kill for fun. She is curious about the human body and how weak it can be for even the strongest humans. Her weapons go from a simple pair gardening scissors to guns and explosives and she would even be disappointed if her target was killed too easily. Still, although Vorona kills without mercy she still has a set of morals she goes by. She will not kill anyone that looked weak or wasn’t a worthy opponent or she admits that would indeed feel guilty for it. Plus she finds this unnecessary, and more importantly, boring.
As previously stated in the history section Voronas knowledge is limited from books. She does not understand love but knows many things a normal person wouldn’t since she took everything she read into memory. Only, without experience she still has a mind of a child despite being twenty. Even now she has the habit of carrying her books everywhere and is always willing to share whatever knowledge she learns from these books when asked.
When in another country like Japan Vorona is very keen on blending into her environment. She will only speak the language of the country. It is her policy as she says (When in Rome, do as Romans do) as it is the basic way of concealing identity. Only, Vorona may have the almost perfect intonation when speaking, the words she chooses makes her speech awkward. Still she does not care and refuses to change her way of speaking even if she can hated for it.

While Vorona is a normal human she is a remarkable fighter having trained under Simon and Denis. She also knows how to use all sort of different types of guns and has many different ways of fighting. Simply put Vorona is very skilled in many ways of fighting and her knowledge of different weaponry only adds on to that.
