Entertaining a Toddler while Nursing

When I was pregnant with Gemma I read time and time again that mothers of two recommended preparing  a "nursing basket" with toys for the older child to play with only when the baby nurses.  Rarely did I see any ideas for what types of toys to use.  It was hard for me to come up with ideas for toys that would be novel enough to dependably capture

This is such a great idea! And I love that you unlatched to chase him down in the beginning - it's so true that they learn in a nanosecond that when you're nursing it's hard to discipline them.

Such great ideas! Even for moms who aren't nursing little ones.

We read a ton of book when I was nursing. (And I'll sheepishly admit we watched a lot of DVR'ed Sesame Street as well. ;))
