this came to my attetion yesterday (or whenever) when i_know_jimmy mentioned it in the dk community. throughout the years, i never hear anything new in the land of the Dead Kennedys, its always "lawsuit" this and "egotistic bastard" that. although this is a "jello is god" community, i still think its fucked up that jello didnt give royalties to the rest

I gotta say I agree. It's fucked that Jello kept money from them. It's also fucked how EBR took it upon himself to re-release all the albums, without notifying Jello. He also remastered them without Jello. I also think on the first few copies, before Jello pointed something out, he didn't give him credit for writing any of the songs. Now that's pretty fucked.

I would love to see a reunion of the orginal line up ( D.H is a better drummer than Ted, that's the orginal lineup to me ) come back together and preform on a reunion tour. But it wouldn't work all that well because of Jello's and EBR's differences. The same would happen if Zeppelin ( for those who know classic rock ) were to reunite with Page and Plant fighting. It wouldn't be the same.

Cruz isn't the vocalist anymore, thank the gods that do not be, they replaced him with a man by the name of Jeff Penalty, who I hear is quite good. Not Jello, but better than Cruz.

ahh, but i hated brandon cruz with much passion and the only time ive seen the new dk was when they had cruz, my bad =/ horrible stuff--but EBR is evil for wanting money. if jello wanted money for spoken word (which inspires) then i think he deserves it. its going for a greater cause...

But does it make Jello a better person for hurting those who were already helping him spead this message faster and more effectively than any of his spoken word albums. Because of this mistake he made, people like me and you will never get to experience a taste of what they did in the 80's in the days of the Dead Kennedys.

Still my Idol, but his pride and ambition was his downfall.
