Maybe thats with things like Flow, http://www.amazon.com/Flow-Psychology-Experience-Mihaly-Csikszentmihalyi/dp/0060920432 and Blink, the more you do a single task and aquire mastery over it the more you are actually liberated and freed from consciousness rather than stuck in the task. yes the task is difficult and hard at first but with enought repition and eventual mastery there is actually an expansion of the self that happens when you apply yourself to master one task rather than focus on trying to do 23 things at once.
