They're both transfers--one's a sophomore and one's a junior--so they didn't really feel like living with a bunch of freshmen was the best thing for them. Unfortunately, the upper division apartment housing they're moving into is only guaranteed them for next semester if they move in now. Ah well.

Try sitting not alone in the house, but outside in a quieter spot, with a cup of tea if that's your thing. You won't be suffocating in your own thoughts, but it will let them flow in manageable portions.

I hate being cornered by my own thoughts too, but eventually it'll build too much and just break me down whether I want to or not, so I'd rather pick my spot and time of choice. =)

It's difficult, though, because I seem to always have plans that need taking care of. Right now a friend of mine is visiting me from Atlanta, so I can't just run off an have 'me time' and leave him to his own devices all that much. But he is asleep at the moment, and I think I'm going to at least go sit in the study lounge and doodle for a bit.
