 Andree was offered a contract for the select soccer team!! It is a lot of money but then I thought about it. We pay around 1,800.00 a year for Alexandria's bassoon lessons. It is just paid out over the year.  Also, this is a great opportunity for Andree to get excellent/pro teaching for goaltending.  She won't be starting and is in the development

Yep, but really my girls are strange in the fact that they don't mind at all doing the chores I ask them to do. Just seeing her face light up when the coach offered her the contract was worth it. What really got me is that both girls have savings account with a tidy sum in them and offered to pay for it. Alexandria even said that she would give Andree her Ref money if it would help. I have been blessed with my girls.

Wait...doesn't your school district offer lessons along with playing in the band? My home school district still does that. I mean, I would take private lessons in the summer for my trumpet, but my lessons during the year were at school.

Nope not here in the hood. Now Andree gets oboe lessons thru the school every other week. No one around this area has the knowledge to teach bassoon. If I wanted to push the issue the district would pick up some of the tab, but I don't. Her teacher just went to 35.00 per lesson and it is an average of 4 lessons a month even during the summer. So it averages around 1,800.00 when you add in the reeds, music and gas.

Wowza! Although, I was charging $20 a lesson back in the mid 90's.
