Well, I finally went to the doctor today to address my now 3 week old sore throat. I suspected allergies, and I was right. The doctor said my post-nasal drip was irritating the tissue in my throat. Apparently, snot has a higher ph level than saliva. She gave me a Rx for Flonase and suggested that I take Clariten-D for at least a few weeks ( Read more... )

Spring Break has officially begun!!!! I am going to Ohio tomorrow and will be there until Wednesday!

Yesterday, I was walking one of my students back to class after speech therapy (some of them intentionally get lost along the way), and I went into to say hi to the teacher because it was in between classes. I had fun today with the kids. Two of the self-contained classes I service got together had a dance, way cute!

This morning I woke at 4 am, due to the stress knot in my stomach. I had a meeting scheduled for 8 am with a parent, very complicated situation, but let's just say I was not looking forward to it. I mentally knew that it was ridiculous to worry about it, but I could not calm my fears. I prayed about it, had Cary pray about it, and felt a little ( Read more... )

I had lasik eye surgery on Friday, and now I can see! It was a bigger ordeal than what they made it out to be during the consultation. They told me, "oh, you'll just feel a little pressure, and it will sting a little." Downplay of the month, for sure, but I survived, and I am already glad that I had it done. It is 4:44 p.m., and we still have no plans for the evening :-(

We did it! The ride was fantastic! We were up in the air for over an hour and traveled 5 miles. The pilot said that we went up over 3,000 feet!!! It was a very smooth and peaceful ride, and Cary loved all of the propane!
