This calls for your "Condoms, Rose, CONDOMS!" icon! LOL. But seriously, condoms aren't that hard to use, and heck, you can get them for free at the Dept. of Health or Planned Parenthood in most states!

That last episode made me bawl. I was touched by their maturity at knowing that they couldn't give their baby everything she deserved- like the boy said, love is not always enough. :( The adoptive parents seemed like wonderful people who are going to give that little girl an amazing home. I also give the birth parents a lot of credit for getting through it together and still wanting to be involved in the baby's life.

I couldn't agree more... I think that show really did glamorize teen pregnancy, it is so sad. I don't think I've seen every episode.. maybe 3 of them, but I did see the one where they gave it up for adoption, and I totally teared up at the end. That has to be so hard. The adoptive parents looked really nice though.. I just can't believe the mom didn't support her at all in the decision. I hope teenagers that watch that realize how painful their mistake can be and how much it messes up their dreams for college and a normal finish to high school. I was "uncool" and didn't sleep with anyone in my teenage years, but I am definitely glad of that now.

I can't help but watch the show though....

Yes. Right after the baby was born and he was hugging her saying, "We can do this. We can do this." I freaking lost it. Oh man...I can't imagine how hard that must be but what a beautiful gift to give their baby girl.

Looking back even I'm surprised at it...but I think Brandon and I were pretty mature for two horny teenagers. haha! It was a BIG decision for me to have sex and I remember talking to him and telling him what I was afraid of (the main thing was pregnancy!)I was already on birth control for wonky periods but that was not good enough. Condoms EVERY SINGLE TIME. I just do not understand how these kids did not use condoms if they weren't *trying* to get pregnant.

I think that you're mature... I've always had to do a double take when I realize how freaking young you guys are! :D

See, as a teenager if I had known friends who were using protection and still wound up pregnant, it would probably scare the shit out of me. I think that'd be good to show on a program like this because it's an example of why you should take precautions upon precautions.

I caught the last episode and I was surprised how insanely I cried and felt sad. I started having sex at 15, but I made sure we used every precaution possible... condoms and BC pills... I know they aren't fool proof, but we were trying our best to not have a pregnancy.
