He is!!! He was my first real show horse. His name is Impresario (Italian for Impressive) but I call him Impy. He's a registered Hanoverian and is 22 now and 17.1 hands. He's the sweetest horse you'll ever meet. He's one of those that's so well trained that when you do something wrong he just stops and is like "Um, excuse me, that is NOT how you're supposed to do that." He's a big baby though and loves to be loved, as you can see.
He looks like a sweetheart. I've always had a thing for dark bay's. I had a HolsteinerX dark bay gelding named Strider. He was 17 hands. Awesome horse that taught me so, very much about riding and training horses.
Does Impy still do light work, or is he pretty much in complete retirement? Lovely show name, and I'm sure he lived up to it.
Dark bays are one of my favorites as well, mainly because I've had so many. They just shine up so beautifully.
I do still ride him lightly and he's my go to school horse because he does not it all. He definitely lived up to his name; we showed all the way up to FEI level and he won everything he walked into. Some of the judges actually still ask about him when we go without him now. He's a special guy :)
