1. In New York, when you buy a drink (and by a drink I mean a soda, or an ice tea, or a juice, or whatever) at a drug store or a convenience store or a grocery store, they give you a straw.

2. Walking home from the subway this morning, I saw a homeless crust punk with a sign that just said, "FUCKED." I gave him $2.
