Podgorica, Day Two

Bill had to get up and go to work this morning, and my "work" today consisted of watching Alex while also attempting to get things done. Luckily for me, Alex slept until 9:15. He went to bed last night at 10:30, so he got almost 12 hours of sleep, which makes up a bit for his lack of sleep the night before due to our travel ( Read more... )

You should call Verizon. You shouldn't have to pay. Especially if you already had a SIM card in it from another country. And him saying he has to buy out your contract maybe right IF you have a contract. Which doesn't sound like you do if you paid full price for it, unless the guy in the states did one when he put in your new SIM card. Even so, when Doug was traveling so much overseas while the family was in Hi he switched to verizon from AT&T because they were the only company that told him they could unlock his iPhone without a charge so that he could use different SIM cards in different counties to save international fees. So I'm pretty sure verizon can unlock it over the phone with you so you can put in your own SIM card you buy there. I did it over the phone when unlocking mine for Thailand. Hope this helps!
