So, last night I was flipping through the pages of Memoirs of a Geisha looking for a certain paragraph. This paragraph was so insightful I felt I just needed to share it.
Life being what it is, one dreams not of revenge. One just dreams...Later that day i realized that i could have died and i decided it was time to create some type of legacy so i asked my dad what people would sooner remember, the things i said or the things i didn't say. His response was: Forgive me, but what people?
(It was from a book i finished recently, A Complicated Kindness. its not my absolute favorite quote in the world obviously, but i liked the way it sounded as depressing as it was. and since we were talking about books i decided to use it.)
I just ran across this LJ through Howie's (incase the owner is wondering). Anyway, you're Devon's girlfriend...I introduced myself at that gig... I was short.
That doesn't matter though, I read A Complicated Kindness in the summer and it was so good as well as insightful also it was awesome to read it in the summer because most of it is set in the summer anyway...
Good book, most people I mention it to never heard of it, or didn't like it.
