Aeneas had been wandering around the neighborhood after getting everything moved into his new house; when he was feeling goal-oriented, he could do a seemingly monumental task in a matter of hours. However, now was time to relax. He hadn't had time to take in everything when he'd papered everyone's doors, and he was now taking the time to investigate his new surroundings.

One house had been expertly decorated, with a crowning jewel on top; a magnificent inflatable Santa Claus! It would be perfect for his coming Saturnalia party! Just as his excitement rose, he saw an angry German disinter the fat man.

"Eho!" he called. "Don't you want that?!"

It was cold. Ludwig could see his breath with every mutter as he cursed his brother. And he shivered slightly as he ambled carefully over the roof. He pulled his coat tighter and set to work removing the monstrosity.

And that's when he heard a shout from below. The lights illuminated his front yard, and the man at the edge of his driveway. Ludwig stared for a moment, his eyes focusing on the figure.

What did he say? "What?" the German called out, and flicked free a bungee cord. How many knots and ropes and the like did Gilbert use on this damned thing?!

"I said, 'don't you want that?'" Aeneas called out again. Taking the response as an invitation, he jogged closer to the house. Indeed, it looked like his neighbor was intent on sending the Santa to its doom. "It'd be perfect for my party on Thursday--I've been looking for a big, jolly fat man that can stand in for Saturn."

Ludwig paused and straightened as the man paced closer to the house. He peered down at him with a lofted brow. A deep sigh made another cloud of mist leave his lips. "No. I don't." He said plainly. Wasn't it rather obvious? He was trying to take the stupid thing off his roof. Of course he didn't want it! What kind of a question was that?

And after replying, he stooped to work at the knots of the ropes still keeping the inflatable, round man on his roof.

Party on Thursday.... Saturn... "Oh."

Again Ludwig paused and looked over his shoulder, back down at the man grinning up at him. So! This was the man who taped the invitation to his door. The Saturnalia party.

"Have it." He grumped, tossing a rope aside.

And he couldn't shake just how familiar that man looked...

Gilbert was nearly blinded when he pulled into the driveway. Those lights were bright. With his foot on the brake and his eyes closed, he felt around his car until he found a pair of sunglasses. He slipped them on and put his car in park before stepping out of the car.

He dropped his keys once and tried to use the key to the bar before he finally managed to open the door to Ludwig's house. He was ready to crash as soon as he walked in but he really needed a shower. He smelled like... well, a bar.
