To be honest, he was nervous. It had been a while since he had been like this, but you see what love can do to a cheerful, Spanish man like him. And love can be strange sometimes.
He just hoped that no one would get mad at him for what he is going to do soon. Antonio checked one more time if he had everything with him. Yes, everything was there. Perfect... so far.
Hopefully his beloved Lovi would show up soon. Well, the other did not say no when the Spaniard told him that they would met there for a date. There was free food as well so it should not take too long... right?

The young man ignored the other guests easily and slipped through the partying people until he spotted something familiar - but at the same time, it didn't look familiar at all. Well, yes, his dumbass's hair was still the same, but why did the older man wear a tuxedo? It made him feel a little stupid for wearing his normal, casual clothes...
"Idiot! I was looking for you!" he scowled into the Spaniard's direction as he crossed his arms in front of his chest, eyeing him intently. A soft blush appeared on his cheeks. "And why didn't you tell me that you would wear... this?!"
Not that it really bothered him, but it made him a little uncomfortable and... nervous. And he would never admit that Antonio looked kind of good in the tuxedo, never!

He found himself a visible but out-of-the-way corner (and definitely indoors from the winter cold) to set up a card table covered with green felt and large enough to comfortably seat 4-8 people. Sitting at that table, Heracles had shuffled several decks of cards, ready for any type of game that a person may want to play. He was actually quite the showman with his cards, having once worked a part-time job as a dealer at a fancy casino. He'd had a lot of time to practice through the years.
It was still early, so Heracles set himself up a game of solitaire. A game like this would not really satisfy tradition, but it was something to pass the time until he found someone to join in on a friendly game of cards and chance. For the luck of the New Year ( ... )
