I just read the Host, it was really good:D
and if you read the Twilight's over and over and over again like me, you can
really see the resemblance.

im not enjoying The Host at all. I'm up to Chapter 40 and it's moderately interesting.
The only real similarities I found, without delving in too deep, was the fact that everyone seemeed to like Mel/Wanda they way everyone seemed to like Bella. Maybe less in The Host but there still manages to be quite a few people who are in love with Mel/Wanda.

i like the host but at some parts it was somewhat boring but there are a lot of connects between the host and twilight so thanks for writing this :) cause it made me think of all of the connects more in depth.

the thing that kept me hooked was that i ACCIDENTALLY went on an interview of stephanie meyer and then it said something about how melanie and Wanda seperate, and then i just like slammes by computer down and from then on, idk, i was kinda more hooked, but trust me, if i hadnt seen that, i would be kinda bored too. I was just wondering while i read it why i wasnt bored.

I saw the similarities right away. :) I see Wanda and Mel as two parts of Bella. One that wants to be with Ian/Jacob and the other wants to be with Jared/Edward. Throughout the book I instantly shipped Wanda and Ian. That pretty much told me that my ship was doomed (I tend to draw towards the ships that have no chance in hell of being together.) It was really awesome to see otherwise. Ian is very much like Jacob in that he will never give up the woman he loves and will fight till the end even if it is with his friends. Ian is also very easy going and seems to be extremely light hearted like Jacob. He is very emotionally connected to Wanda and keeps a watchful eye even when she is not realizing it. Jared is very much like Edward in he is the gorgeous leader that everyone loves and respects. Jared also seems to have this gravitational pull with people. He steps into a room and everyone notices (he probably dazzles them!) He is quick to judge himself (and Wanda before really getting to know her) and is willing to sacrifice the one he ( ... )

i c what you mean there. but i kinda have an extreme HATE for Jacob, and idk, i love Ian so much, to make him be SIMILAR to Jacob, it makes me shiver in diguist. No offense the rest is really good analysis. just the Jacob and Ian part.

i personally lovedddd the host just as much as twilight but come one! VAMPIRES are alot cooler...
i do see the similarities tho!

they are very much alike...
