 Nino’s POV

He glanced away for a second and then looked back at me again. ‘I’ve got you Sakurai Sho-sama!’ I almost laughed out loud in happiness. He tried his best to act normal after mentioning Aiba’s name in front of him but of course, I knew perfectly that he lied.

“What do you think, Sho-kun?” I asked.

"Nothing... I don’t even know him," he answered. He lied again!

How could I have not realized this? He has a crush on Aiba and he’s trying to hide it from us. The very first time when I noticed it was because he smiled when he ate his chocolate pudding. It was really creepy to see your lonely best friend smiling to himself while eating dessert which happens to be chocolate pudding. I thought that it might be possible for him to be a little out of his mind due to his loneliness. That was until I heard Aiba’s noisy conversation with his friends. He was actually begging for his friend’s dessert. Then it clicked, Sho might not be smiling because of his own dessert but may be because of someone who’s actually connected to the whole chocolate pudding thing. I never thought that Aiba was the chocolate pudding guy at the moment but he was the one who brought up that idea into this brain of mine.

The next time I noticed was when Sho often visits the library on Mondays and Wednesdays. It was obvious that he likes to read, but he could just ask his butler to bring the books to him if he wants to instead of going to the books himself. And what would be the reason for Sho’s unnatural behavior? It’s pretty easy, ask the librarian. Sho’s the prince in school, his movements and actions are always well noticed thus it’s not hard to find out things about him as he’s always the centre of attention. I went back to the library twice and finally, just by visiting twice, I found out that Sho was actually borrowing every single book that Aiba has read. ‘Sakurai Sho’ will be written below ‘Aiba Masaki’ on the record card of the books. Almost 99.9% of the books Aiba borrowed has Sho’s name on it. It was a pretty easy way to conclude who the chocolate pudding guy was. The librarians claim that the library is always very crowded on both Mondays and Wednesdays due to the presence of Sho and Aiba. I couldn’t believe that I’ve never noticed such happenings before.

I knew perfectly that Sho was a coward. I’ve just never expected that he couldn’t confess to someone that he’s fallen for. I mean, he’s not like me. I never confess to the person I love because he’s my best friend. I don’t want to ruin our friendship. It may be because of Sho’s coward-ness that I decided to push him to admit to us that he’s in love with Aiba. With a little hope, I gambled my way through to start a conversation. Sho is just too easy to read. I would make up a game that will make him confess to Aiba no matter what. The game is none other than the bet. He never tried to confess because he felt that he’ll be safe as long as no one dated Aiba, but what if Jun, Ohno and I move closer to get Aiba? As I thought, he couldn’t keep quiet.

It wasn’t like I don’t know the fact that Aiba’s playing slutty in school. Nice student outside but wild in the inside. I needed a lot of time to investigate to know his reasons behind his actions. I’ve always believe that everyone has always have a reason for their doings. I knew that Sho doesn’t know about the fact and I’ve decided not to tell him before I find out why Aiba did that. I don’t want Sho to fall for the wrong person but still I can’t judge someone based on the outside. So when I followed Aiba, I found out that his mum is a hooker and his dad is unemployed. But to think on the bright sight, Aiba works hard at his part time job, so I thought that Sho has fell for the right person. He just needs a little help and Sho could definitely help him.

I waited for Sho in his room. I couldn’t stop laughing. Well, I caught him wet dreaming in the day. I mean, it was still sunny outside. He’s really desperate about Aiba then. I’ve had a little chat with Aiba; at the library. How I hate that place. I thought Aiba understood what I meant since he actually wanted to talk with Sho. So now my only problem is that coward. The bathroom door opened and Sho walked out.

“What is it?” he asked, upset. I couldn’t help myself from laughing when I saw it.

“You`re so mad because I disturbed your sleeping or your dream…?” I asked.

“Stop it, lets go directly to the point,” He warned. I took a deep breath and started.

“Sho-kun… I really do offer to you to stop this game… We can stop Jun-kun and Oh-chan now… But not in the middle of the game…” I said to him before as I also did tell myself that he would participate in the game no matter what. Why did he change his mind out of a sudden? I am afraid that he saw something about Aiba that made Sho upset.

“I said ‘No’, I thought you`re excited about this game…?” he asked.

“I am, but I won’t play with the feelings you have for him, I thought you justhad a crush on him… But I was wrong, wasn’t I….?” Yeah, it’s not just a crush. I thought that he really do love Aiba.

“I don’t have any special feelings for--”

“Don’t lie to me, You changed your mind so suddenly, what happened? I was worried…” he as usual tried to avoid answering my question. “I know about your feelings and I know Aiba Masaki better that you might think…” I will make things easy for Sho if he would ask me about Aiba. I’ll surely tell him everything.

“And you still think he’s an interesting boy?” he asked. I nodded.

“I can tell what ‘interesting’ means to me… I can tell you about every side of him that you don’t know about…” I offered, smiling.

“I don’t want to hear it.” he looked really disappointed. What did you see, Sho?

“It’s your choice. So you won’t stop this game?” I asked him for the very last time and he shook his head.

“Okay then… I have to go home Sho-kun… My new game is waiting…” I stood up, and a really crazy idea popped into my head. “I think… Thinking overyour decision in fresh air will be good for your health Sho-kun…” I smiled at him. I told Aiba that Sho loved the roof, and true enough, and I could bet Aiba would go to the roof tomorrow.

“What is that supposed to mean…?” he asked, looking confused.

“Nothing, just a random thought.” I answered. The only thing I can do and must do now is wait. If only I could get them together and that would mean I won this game, for my personal satisfaction, of course I was the one and only one who knows about it. My game was actually ‘Make the coward prince Sakurai Sho confess his love to Aiba Masaki.”

I don’t need to wait long at all. Two days after the game started, Sho gathered us to our room and announced that Aiba would be living in his house. I was in fact half shocked yet half satisfied. Am I really this good at this game? But all I did was have them meet each other on the roof. Whatever! It was great! It was never my plan to have them live together. But the next thing I know was Sho and Jun shouting at each other about Aiba, I felt really guilty honestly. Even though I don’t really understand why Jun was being so stubborn and wouldn’t agree to stop the bet. Did Aiba move in already? Sho and Jun end up leaving the room with anger obviously plastered on their faces, leaving Oh-chan and I behind. I sat down beside him.

“Gomen, Oh-chan.” I felt really guilty about this. I was the one who started this game. He shook his head.

“Why did you start this game in the first place?” he asked me.

“Because Sho-kun has been falling in love with Aiba Masaki since… I don’t know when but I think it’s since our first year.” I answered. It was easier for me to get them together if I have an ally on my side. Or that was what I thought. I saw the expression on Oh-chan’s face as he closed his eyes tightly. He looked like he was enduring great pain. Oh.. God..Tell me this is not true.. Does he by any chance, have feelings for Sho? I closed my eyes too, and felt my heart crumble along with him.
