[One-shot] trust and distrust
“Sho-chan… I heard a woman’s voice before when we were on phone, I`m sure about that, who is she?” I asked him slowly. He looked back at me.
“I told you already… No one was there when you called me,” he answered me. I really hated it when he hid something from me.
“I’m not deaf! I heard her calling you ‘Sakurai-san’!” I stood up immediately.
“You don’t believe me?”
“That is not the point, I just want to know who is she…”
He stood up as well and looked me directly in the eyes, “I said no one was there, you`re still doubting me, right? I`ll be heading home now,” he took his jacket and walked to the front door.
“Wait, Sho-chan!” he opened the front door and looked back at me.
“I love you, that`s why I always believe you no matter what you say or do, but I know you are doubting my feelings towards you, I think we should take a break in our relationship, to introspect on ourselves…” he said in a flat tone he always used when he felt really disappointed, “and that woman is my friend, she helped me to choose the cake for you, are you satisfied now?” he said coldly and closed the door right in front of me.
