[Chaptered] The Bet 2/?
Aiba`s POV
I walked to the library after my classes were over. It was Wednesday so I had to return the books that I had borrowed. I couldn’t forget Sakurai`s shocked face. Actually, I thought I should try talking to him, maybe after classes over. He was always in the library on Wednesdays, so I should be able to talk to him in there. I didn’t really understand why I cared about his opinion about me in the first place. I didn’t find him in the library but there was another surprise - Ninomiya Kazunari - one of his best friends sat in the middle of the room, reading a book. That was somewhat odd, he was a game freak and he never read books. Why would he be in the library?
I walked towards librarian and smiled at her, she was a first year student. Innocent... She smiled back at me and wrote something in my card. She smiled at me again.
"Anooo... Aiba senpai..." So she knew my name...
"Hai?"
"I heard from my friend that you are looking for this book?" She took out a book from the drawer. Yes!! I`ve been waiting for this book!!
"Oh my gosh... Yes... Thank you so much..." I smiled widely and I could see she was blushing hard.
"Ahhh... It was nothing..."
"Thank you... I really wanted to read this book." She nodded. I took the book and walked to the book-shelves.
She whispered to her friend full of excitement, "I talked with him... OMG... He is so cute..."
I felt someone following my moves, staring at me. Ninomiya Kazunari.
I walked to the middle of one of the shelves so he wouldn’t be able to stare at me. I saw a girl trying to reach a book in one of the highest shelves which was out of her reach. I smiled and walked to her.
"I`ll take it for you," I took the book and gave it to the girl. She blushed just like the first girl, like almost all girls in the school. Blushed because of the innocent Aiba.
"Thank you," She said shyly.
"You`re welcome," I smiled at her. She walked away and stole a glance at me after a few steps.
"Thats nice," someone said behind my back and I turned my head in his direction. As expected... Ninomiya Kazunari...
"It`s nothing..." He smiled at that and tilted his head.
"Well... I must say she already fell for you," he tried to choose some books in the shelf, but he couldn’t hide his bored expression. "Ahhh... Ninomiya Kazunari desu..."
"Aiba Masaki..."
"Yes, I know... You beat Sho-kun in the previous exam... That was great and he was so mad," He giggled.
"Really?" I asked him, so Sakurai already knew about me...
He nodded and laughed.
"What?" I don’t think I had said something funny.
"I never expected that you would have some interest in Sho-kun..." he answered.
"No, of course not," I said it a bit faster than I wanted, he laughed again.
"You`re an interesting boy... Do you know that?"
"First I`m not a boy and second, I think I`m not all that interesting." His laughter sounded a bit strange, and it bothered me, it was like he knew everything about me. I didn’t mind if he knew that I`m gay or a slut but I did mind if he knew about my love live.
Yes, I actually have some love story buried in my past.
"Urrrnnnn... I think I`ll borrow this book," I said to him and walked away.
"Sho-kun really loves the school’s roof," he said and I turned back facing him again, acting confused. He smiled again.
"What is that supposed to mean?" I asked.
"Nothing..." he smiled again.
I walked away without saying a word to him...
I just wanted to talk with Sakurai Sho...
