Ohno`s pov
Why did he kiss me…? I couldn’t find an answer to that question. Did he pity me? Because I just saw Sho kissing Aiba?. Do I need to ask him…?. He was my best friend, I didn’t want to feel awkward in front of him. I didn’t want to lose anyone else. But if I did ask him, would it be awkward? How would I go about it? ‘Nino, why did you kiss me…?’. Hell, no! Maybe it’s better just to text him? But I was going to meet him in a few hours…or minutes again, maybe. How do I face him then…
“Satoshi! If you don’t leave now you’ll be late!” I heard my mom’s voice from the first floor.
“I’m going now!”, I replied immediately.
I ran out from my house and quickly headed for the school. It had been some time since Sho didn’t pick me up anymore, partly because I didn’t want to draw attention to myself. But when I saw Aiba getting off his car that morning I felt like cursing myself for having rejected his offer. I saw Aiba wave to someone who ran and passed the gate fast. Nino! My feet moved by themselves, trying to catch up to him. I wanted to talk to him.
I passed by Aiba and Sho, who walked slowly, “Oh-chan!” I heard Aiba call out to me, “Ohayou!”
I waved my hand fast and kept concentrating on chasing Nino, but I could still hear Aiba`s question at Sho, “Why is everyone in such a rush this morning?”
“Homework, maybe?” Sho answered. Then their voices sank in the mumbling ocean of other students’, hanging out in the yard.
Although I ran after him and called his name for so many times, Nino never slowed down at all. But just when he was entering his class I managed to catch his arm and the two of us almost crushed the window.
“Why did you run from me?” I asked and pinned his arm to the wall, while trying to control my breath.
His lips slightly opened to catch his breath, he looked at me with a faked confused expression, I knew him to well…he couldn’t lie to me. “Oh-chan! I didn’t know you were running after me” he smiled, “I just need to do my homework…” he tried to pull his arm from my hold.
“Liar,” I said it fast, “Nino, why--”
“UWAAAA!” he screamed until I got startled and lost my grip on his arm, “I need to do my homework, Oh-chan! I’ll see you later, ne!” he entered his classroom fast and closed the door in front of my face.
I waited for him during the break; he smiled to me when he found me waiting outside his classroom, a smile that was far too bright “Lunch Oh-chan! With my friends!” he pointed to his classmates, who followed behind him.
After that he always found a way to run away from me. “Music class!”; “Biology class!”; “Toilet!”; “Extracurricular!” and I was a bit late to realize that he had never even joined any extracurricular activities.
Why was he running away from me?? I just wanted to ask him why and make everything better for both of us! I decided that I would make him give me an answer, no matter what.
That evening I walked slowly to his house, It was rare of me to do it, so it would be for Jun and Sho. We always hung out at Sho’s house and sometimes at Jun’s. I stopped in front of a modest house; it wasn’t as big as Sho’s or Jun’s, but I could somehow feel Nino’s fragrance in there.
“THEN GET OUT FROM HERE!!” I heard someone screaming from inside the house, right after that I heard a sound of breaking glass.
I almost hid my self, when someone opened the front door, but then I noticed that it was Nino. His eyes widened, “Oh-chan…? What are you doing here?” he asked and I couldn’t think of any sensible answer.
He probably understood, then glanced back and shrugged, “My parents…it`s fine…” he slowly walked towards me.
“Are-are you sure…?” I still heard raised voices from the house.
“Yes,” he smiled bitterly, “They do it almost everyday,” his expression was so sad I had to hold myself back from hugging him. “You want to talk to me, I guess? I won’t run away anymore, want to go inside?” he asked again.
“It’s fine…my room is okay,” he smiled at my uncertain expression “They do it in their own room…” I nodded and he led the way. We passed by his parents’ room and I could hear a low sobbing and then a man voice broke the silence with another scream. Nino held my hand and walked to his room fast. He opened a door and walked in, then closed it. I stood awkwardly there until he pointed to his bed. “You can sit there Oh-chan…”
I sat on his bed and Nino pushed his studying chair in front of me and sat on it. “I know your question…and I want to apologize again…”
“So it’s just a misunderstanding?” I asked him.
“No!” he answered readily, “It’s not a misunderstanding!”
“Then, what?” I asked him again.
“I love you! I’m so freaking in love with you!” he almost yelled but then he bit on his lips. My mind went blank for a short while. He… what? “I`m sorry…”
“Since…since when…?” I asked him. He knew the person I love, he knew everything about me and then he confesses to me…? And he felt sorry for me because of Sho? He pushed his feelings aside and comforted me?
“I have no idea…” he shook his head.
“Why do you love me…?”
“That’s a stupid question, but I’m more stupid, because I don’t have the answer as well…” he answered, “I just don’t want anything to become awkward because of my feelings for you…I don’t want to lose you Oh-chan…”
He stood up and messed his hair, he turned back and rested his head on the wall.
“Then why don’t you make me fall for you?” I asked him.
He turned at me again, “What did you say?”
“You heard me,” I answered.
“You love games, right? Then let`s make it as a game…if you can make me stop loving Sho, I’ll give you what you want, I don’t mind falling in love with you, Nino…just make me do it…”
“Are you serious…?”Nino asked me, his face seemed confused.
“Do I look like I’m joking at the moment?” I sighed, I just wanted to forget about him and I didn’t care anymore. I wanted him to disappear from my head, and today…Nino made him disappear, I didn’t think about Sho at all when my thoughts were focused on talking to Nino. “If you don’t believe me, just ask me for anything. I`ll give it to you…as advance payment? As long as I can give it to you…”
He frowned and bit his lower lip; he looked hesitant for a second, and answered, “How about sex with me as an advance payment?” he asked, looking straight into my eyes.
“Then we’ll talk about another payment after I made you forget about him?”
“It`s a deal…”

Why did he kiss me…? I couldn’t find an answer to that question. Did he pity me? Because I just saw Sho kissing Aiba?. Do I need to ask him…?. He was my best friend, I didn’t want to feel awkward in front of him. I didn’t want to lose anyone else. But if I did ask him, would it be awkward? How would I go about it? ‘Nino, why did you kiss me…?’. Hell, no! Maybe it’s better just to text him? But I was going to meet him in a few hours…or minutes again, maybe. How do I face him then…
“Satoshi! If you don’t leave now you’ll be late!” I heard my mom’s voice from the first floor.
“I’m going now!”, I replied immediately.

I sat on his bed and Nino pushed his studying chair in front of me and sat on it. “I know your question…and I want to apologize again…”
“So it’s just a misunderstanding?” I asked him.
“No!” he answered readily, “It’s not a misunderstanding!”
“Then, what?” I asked him again.
“I love you! I’m so freaking in love with you!” he almost yelled but then he bit on his lips. My mind went blank for a short while. He… what? “I`m sorry…”
“Since…since when…?” I asked him. He knew the person I love, he knew everything about me and then he confesses to me…? And he felt sorry for me because of Sho? He pushed his feelings aside and comforted me?
“I have no idea…” he shook his head.
“Why do you love me…?”
“That’s a stupid question, but I’m more stupid, because I don’t have the answer as well…” he answered, “I just don’t want anything to become awkward because of my feelings for you…I don’t want to lose you Oh-chan…”
He stood up and messed his hair, he turned back and rested his head on the wall.
“Then why don’t you make me fall for you?” I asked him.
He turned at me again, “What did you say?”
“You heard me,” I answered.
“You love games, right? Then let`s make it as a game…if you can make me stop loving Sho, I’ll give you what you want, I don’t mind falling in love with you, Nino…just make me do it…”
