The SRX team was fairly similar to how it is on Earth, although without Raidese Braunstein to pilot the R-2, they made due with Aya Kobayashi's younger sister. Unfortunately, just prior to the Shadow Mirror's jump, they were killed and the SRX was destroyed by Beowulf and the Gespenst Mk. III

As for Shiro Amada, I don't know. Although Amuro Ray was, from what I heard, relatively the same... although he was the assigned pilot of the RX-78-2 Gundam from the start.

Ironically, like the SRX team, he was also killed. Supposedly by some random lucky shot during A Baoa Qu.

I came from an alternate dimension... But somehow we managed to blend the two perfectly without anyone dying.

My alternate self is my mech.

Well... I still think it's strange that my other self is a giant robot. My parents, people I went to school with, even this crazy scientist, all had other selves, but mine was a robot buried beneath the base.

You have to admit, Cybuster would look even more badass if it were painted jet black, with sharper wings and a heavy metalish theme song.
