Hey! I've been a member for a while, but I never got around to posting photos after my September 20th wedding. I think I spent about $10,000 on it. Hope you enjoy! All photos are copyright Michael J. Wise Photography.
haha, thanks! I have a friend who is a hairstylist, and she and her friend came and did the whole wedding party's hair and makeup in our hotel room that morning. I really loved my junior bridesmaids' hair, too.
My shoes were on clearance from newportnews.com--if you're still looking for shoes for your wedding, they actually have a lot of really lovely, reasonably-priced options. But I bought my shoes a whole year ago and they're still mailing me catalogs, so I guess it's a trade-off!
EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! I just love the shade of blue you chose, it's so pretty!!!
Love the way the brown looks with the blue, that's incredible. I'm amazed at how well they go together. I love the tulle peeking out from the BM skirts, cute!
I love your guest book, how does it work? I love all the decorative papers! How'd you make the envelopes?
I actually used a florist envelope as a template--I dismantled it, then traced it, then used Zots to glue the new ones together. They were held into the guest book with a normal glue stick. People wrote on the cards that are in a little stack above the book, then they tucked them into the envelopes. I lucked out, because one of my brothers actually worked in a paper factory at the time, but it was closing down, so the staff was allowed to take all the paper they wanted. I literally have a case of packages of different card stock and scrapbooking paper in my basement!
I know, the brown was actually a late addition. Over the course of my two-year engagement, it was originally just the blue and white (I knew I wanted blue, because I am a blue-stone bride), until about a year before the wedding. I added the brown because I needed a little more wiggle room when choosing wedding elements. I actually ended up loving that combo way more!
Sooo...I just lurked your journal for a second, and I want to warn you that my florist said he wouldn't be able to get me dahlias by my wedding--he said they're mostly done by then, and I got married in late September.
I don't really believe him, because I was still seeing them at the farmer's market into October, and I had to argue with him about a ton of stupid things, but...just in case, I will let you know that the white flowers in my bouquet were ranunculus, and they have sort of a similar whimsical style (but softer and less dramatic, unfortunately).
My baker was an absolute dream to work with, and the cake was DELICIOUS. We had that tier cake and an additional full sheet cake, and all of it--plus the delivery fee--was only $300 or so.

Your BM dresses are so cute. Who are they by?

I loved my bridesmaid dresses, too, and they were quite reasonably-priced at something like $190 after taxes. They are Alfred Angelo 7014.

Ooh, nice! Although I'm assuming that's in USD...(not bad, means they're just shy of $200 CAD) I must go look..
