Procrastination, or "it's 12:30 am and I haven't even started studying for that 8 am quiz"

Ah, spring! You have finally deigned to grace us with your presence. It's such a relief to have even that little bit of green to break up the grey and brown of the asphalt and brick. This morning I woke up not to the sound of train whistles, car horns, or the screech-bang of the central air unit right outside my window, but to actual birdsong. The ( Read more... )

Hee-hee, you updated on my Mom's b-day!! ^__^ I hope you have time to watch your mini marathon soon!

Ooo, and if you are bored (because I'm sure you have so much free time
:-p), I just overhauled my journal layout and updated. I've achieved my most comments ever on an entry, which excites me absurdly and immensely, and I'd love for people that actually know me to give me their input, too! ^o^

Low-C!! Yeah, I haven't been checking my LJ in forever but I've been keeping up with the RP--how twisted is that? . . .

It was great to see you for Easter, even if it was only for a tiny bit. Sorry to hear about your grandfather, though.

I've heard of Doctor Who, but I've never seen it . . . what's it about/when is it on?

One of my friends here is an RA in my dorm and she had the most awesome CBA (community-building event) to-day: we watched the BBC version of P&P. All of it. ::squees:: She'd only seen the newer version and I'm not so sure what she thought of this one . . . Oh, random aside, my professor for Austen & the Brontes started class on Mon. by telling us he'd just seen the new P&P . . . then catalogued what he didn't like about it. 'twas muchly amusing. ^_^ Oh and to finish off the P&P/Colin-ness, someone from the colinfirth community posted a link to a poll you'd enjoy: Darcy vs Darcy. It's so hard!

I wondered where you had gone! Granted, I haven't updated my journal lately either, but I've been keeping up with it better than you (I never thought I would say that, you're always the one that has to nag me!).

Doctor Who is wonderful British sci-fi crack. The special effects are horrible and the plot-lines can be a bit over the top, but the characters are pure crack! This show has apparently been around forever in Britain (like 50 years or something) and they've just recently revived it. Currently the Doctor is played by David Tennant (Barty Crouch Jr. in GoF) who is absolutely adorable with his manic mannerisms and his freckles and his Scottish accent and his glasses! And that was probably way more than you wanted to know, sorry.

Yes, I was trying to suck you in. I need someone else to squee with me over this show.

I really *really* need to watch the whole BBC P&P over again, as I sure it would make my soul happy. Alas, this stupid pile of homework is trying to persuade me otherwise. *kicks books*

That does sound intriguing . . . when is it on?

I've been sucked into Flying Circus. Ally (our awesome RA) discovered it's on every Saturday at 10 on one of our PBS stations. ^_^
