I was just sitting in my room doing homework when I realized that what I thought was thunder actually sounded more like fireworks. Oh, and in other fandom news [Actually related, too--not quite a tangent . . . perhaps a cosine? But I digress.], quite a few MP (1999) icons were posted on an icon journal I have friended, crymeariver_. The icon maker pointed me to a link of awesomeness: the BBC is making a new version of MP!! I think it's going to be another serial (like the 1983ish one) and I do hope it will be closer to the book (they're also remaking Northanger Abbey and Sense and Sensibility). The only thing the website (austen_blog) knew for sure is that Billie Piper (Rose on Doctor Who--see? Connection!) will be playing Fanny ( ... )

Yes! I've sucked you in! The really frustrating part of this is that when I was home for Memorial Day weekend I burned all the episodes of season one and all current episodes of season two (along with the last of Grey's Anatomy), but alas, my Grandfather's memorial service was moved to Sunday and I missed seeing you in church. I should have stolen the car and stuffed them in your mailbox, but that sadly did not occur to me until later. If you remind me of your street address I could probably be persuaded to pop them in the mail for you...
And I'm thrilled to hear about the new BBC Austens. I'm kind of skeptical about Billy Piper as Fanny, though. I never thought I would like a pop-star-turned-actress in any capacity, however, but I actually really like her on Doctor Who, so we'll see. Either way I'm excited about the remakes ( ... )

'Tis okay--I haven't been on LJ much lately . . . because M_W owns my soul. Heehee. And I recently realised that one of our NPC Aurors on the RP is played by Christopher Eccleson (to whom I apoligise because I think I left out a syllable in his last name)--I was looking at the icons on the NPC account when I noticed something in the background of one of his icons and thought, wait, is that the TARDIS? ^_^
Yay for Who-ness and Grey's! (It's 41 Pearl, by the way) Sorry to hear about your grandfather, though.
Yeah, I'm really hoping they're true to the books and such. I'm also hoping they're on a station that I actually get (i.e. not just on the BBC)--they might do an A&E/BBC thing like with the Colin version of P&P.
