Why do we fall so hard for someone so fast and easy? Why do we even desire the company of someone else ? We could accomplish so much more if we only had ourself to worry about and that's it. Mikey, as soon as you fall in love you sign a waiver stating: "I understand that any pain and suffering caused during this interaction is not the fault of said party."

The porcupine's dilemma: 2 porcupines try to huddle together for warmth, but the closer they get, the more their quills stick each other. This is not just love, but any time you decide to allow someone into your life.

You have to get yourself right first. You have to love you, because it's obvious to me that your self-image is dependent upon a few beeps on a cell phone.

Once you can stand on your own emotionally, the calls will mean nothing, and you won't drive away the women that you love in your life.

I'm still a very closed off person, but I've realized you can't live your life that way. You just have to grow a little skin over that heart of yours so next time your sanity is safe. It would be a hell of a lot easier to shut yourself off from the world (trust me, I know), and people do it, but they're just waiting to die.
