Update on publishing

Many people have warned me away from pursuing this deal, including my lawyer.

To that end, I will NOT pursue this avenue any further.

I forgot to post, here, that I was contacted by the "publisher" and they wanted a pretty good chunk of change, paid in instalments, to get my book out.

I've been told, numerous times, "The money flows from the publisher to you, not the other way around", and the services the place was charging me for a legit publishing house will do for free.

This place is a "vanity press" publisher, not something I could really afford, especially when I'm trying to get a place of my own.

Never mind, I see in the comments above. I agree, that is total BS that they should be charging you. He's cine it is the mindset they make by selling, not out of your pocket. Just like parole that charge you to hire you for any other kind of work. Don't walk away from such a company, run!
