A wonderful animation named Blood was out in 2001 made by Prodution IG. Katsuya Terada was the guy who designed all the characters.

Blood: The Last Vampire is absolutely superb. Gorgeous visuals. And a story that was wonderfully minimalist - almost nothing was explained, in fact it was like you were seeing the events through the eyes of the school nurse, suddenly faced by these horrific events with no rational explanation to them. It's one of my favourite animes.

It was also one of my favorite animes. For one reason it is one of main productions of Production IG, story was written by Hiroyuki Okiura who directed Jin-Roh, and Mamoru Oshii was a part of it.
