Where I am from, the city of Corus, the law enforcement is handled by the Lord Provost's Guards. We're called 'Dogs' by most f- people. I've been a member of the Guards for about three years.
Before that, I lived with the Lord Provost, since he took my family in when I was eight. So even growing up, I learned things from him.
And before that and again now I lived in the Lower City, which is pretty much considered the worst part of the city. So I've seen a lot of stuff.

[The smile she wears when she speaks is genuine. Had she not told Sokka and Katara, and Lord Saxon, this very thing was needed?]
