It gets difficult, with school and all. That's to be expected, as much as I hate when I lose touch with people. I try to prevent it from happening, and this year, given that the majority of my friends are not at UPEI, will be making what I hope will be extra effort. Unfortunately there are some that I didn't get in touch with all summer, and yes, there's a little bit of guilt on my part for that. However, there's still time to fix that. . .
I suppose my only advice is be productive. It's very easy, even at UPEI, to wittle away the day doing little, and then having your social life restricted by more academic priorities at night. I say this as someone who still hasn't quite gotten this down pat, but is going to try even harder. I've seen single mothers who excel in their academics, have an active role on campus and have social lives, and raise a kid(s). They're an inspiration, to say the least.

*hugs* Nobody expects you to give up your life to be there when they call... There's always email... just check it often, and no one will be able to complain! *laughs*
Seriously though, enjoy yourself, and don't worry about it. No one is going to think you've abandoned them because you have a life that doesn't always include them.

Maybe it would be better for your marks for me not to point out that at UPEI you will have almost continuous high speed internet access...

For that I'd have to have a portable computer, which I'm not sure if/when I'll have.

Um, what about the numerous computer labs?
Like the one I'm in right now...

*cuddles* would you feel better if we all had tracking devices planted behind our ears? That way you'd always know where we where and would be able to help us within seconds?
